Lilliput 8" HDMI makes my PC crash when powered off via on/off switch
I've recently updated my setup to add a few commodity to my carpc but one issue came up with my monitor and PC.
A little background on the system,
I'm running a lilliput 869 series monitor (I think). It's connected to a HDMI from the monitor to the PC.
12v is coming from the PSU, all the way to a on/off switch and to the monitor
Ground is coming from the monitor to the PSU
Everything works fine until I witch the switch to the off position, which causes my PC to crash and reboot in the recovery menu.
my guess is something to do with a driver on the HDMI part, this is new for me since I've never really done something like that before. I wanted to have a switch on/off for my monitor for those times when I want the monitor off. My lilliput is out of it's enclosure and I'm using a custom enclosure for my accord so the monitor buttons were removed.
If anyone could shed some light on this, that would be great. Also, if my current setup is incorrect, how can I design it to have the ability to turn the monitor on and off via the switch without causing my PC to crash?
