    Capacitive 7inch Touch Overlay?

I am currently rebuilding the CarPC-System in my Volvo.

At the moment I am using a 7inch TFT with resistive touch, VGA, low/medium brightness and 800x480.
Also the mounting in the double din frame looks very ugly.

Therefore I want to rebuild a part of the middleconsole of my car and directly mount a 7inch LCD Display
with 690cd/m and an active area of 150.72mm x 94.2mm.

Currently I am missing an touchscreen overlay. And to score the best results I want to use a capacitive one.
The only one, with USB, which matches my dimensions, is the one, car-tft currently offers on ebay.

The problem is, that I am living in Germany, and it would be very expensive to import (Duty+Shipping way more than 50USD) .

My other idea is to get a Overlay with IC-Interface (like this from Kevin: http://www.ebay.com/itm/7inch-capaci...item2ed1487002) and build a matching controller.

But I have no idea, if there are current solutions, which are doable by hobbiist, to interface
with the Windows API for USB-Communication with Touchscreen Controllers.

Or does anyone know, where to get matching controllers?

If you don't mind me asking, are the touch panels you modify windows compatible and how would they connect to the PC? I assume the end of the ribbon cable is 6 pin?

    Hi fuchengwu,

    Please reply my questions.

I have bought from a China source named "Singway" on http://www.aliexpress.com/

    1) what relation do you have (any? none?, supplier?, customer?etc..)

    2) I bought them the 7" touch screen version with the PCB Version 2 (XWC964 V2).
This is the same PCB that you show on the picture below.

Apparently the PCB Version 2 has an hardware issue.

    Are you informed about that?
How could you ensure that the version you sell is working?

    Thank you.

Again Fuchengwu, you do not seems really transparent.
You do not replied to my questions.

    * Are you in relation with "Singway" company?
    * How could you proof that your product are working?

As I try to explain you in another thread, the touch screen do not work with PCB V2 for the 7" model when connecting it though USB.

Please provide us a video of your test of 7" touch screen when hotplug through USB
