send signal to RCA (not the screen)

how would i send signals to an RCA out of the computer? not the whole screen... as that would be easy. but like how you can send info to a normal on/off dot style lcd... but just send out pictures/frames to a RCA? so the normal screen on my system could display the normal computer... but a cheapo composite screen can display whatever else i want... (i know this can be done with expencive videocards to play video.. but what about this?)

    thanks

you can't, like I said you answered your own question

You will need a card with dual or two cards, and regardless of what you put on it, it has to be a video signal

Your question is a little hard to understand, but -

Chacter LCD's use 2 methods for input - parallel or serial, serial is straight forward - you power it up, connect it to the serial port, and with some ASCII codes in a terminal window- it starts displaying data.

Parallel port interfaces comonly use the HD44780 chipset, this will connect the display to the printer port of your computer. many people wave written winamp plugins to pass ID3 tag info to these displays.

A composit video screen needs a composit video signal to display any sort of information - the only way to get data onto this type of screen would be with a composit video source of some kind, if you want the computer to do it, YOU WILL NEED A dual header VGA card w/ TV out or a scan converter.

i dont wanna use a tv out cause that will display the screen. i just want a card or something that will let me send out data via composite. so if i wanna send out a picture... make it send out the same frame over and over. if a movie.. send out the movie... if text... send out a signal that has a text picture. a lcd doesnt display the screen. it displays what you want you tell it to send. i want to do the same as that, but for a tft composite. get it? hope you do..

    ok obviously you are dense

the ONLY way to send data to a composite screen is with a composite signal, which is a VIDEO signal, which is WHY you need a video card that will do it.

YES it will display the desktop, but as long as you get a card with DUAL outputs, you can put whatever you want on the other output, be it video, pictures, coolmon, whatever

Yeah, I get what your asking for, and NO.
Your not going to find ANYTHING thats going to do that for a reasonable price.

The closest thing I can think of that does this -
I have a Video card from matrox, The RTX 100.

This card has a composit out on it, that is normally blank. When I open Adobe Premiere I can drag text or video onto the timeline, and when I hit space bar, this image is transfered to the composit out on the card. The card retails for about 1,000.00
