    Place to mount the Xbox

I'm fixing to mount the xbox in my car...but I'm not sure where would be best place if I want easy access to the cd tray. I'm in a 94 accord. I don't know if the trunk would be suitable cuz I've already got a 4 cu. ft. box in there that's a pretty tight fit top to bottem. Any ideas?

    interior pics

Here's my website: http://www.sounddomain.com/id/rdwdivx page 2 should have some interior pics on it. I think I'd like to keep the xbox intact.

i have an xbox mod. I gutted the whole thing out and put it in a 1u server case. Had to buy a 1u heatsink and fan to replace the factory one. I have the worlds thinnest xbox that fits in the back of my trunk perfectly.
    Got the case from here:

And if you want to extend the dvd-rom to the front of the car. You'll need to buy a SATA-to-ide and an IDE-to-SATA converter. a Serial ATA cable can be as long as 38 feet (i think). You'll need to plug the SATA-to-IDE into the mobo and the IDE-to-SATA into the dvd. So you'll be converting the ide cable (starting from the dvd) to sata and sata back to ide (ending @ the motherboard).

I have a '95 Accord EX (same generation), but I'm not too familiar with the xbox's dimensions. Seems like there's a fair amount of room under the passenger seat, if you haven't used that space yet. Maybe rig it facing forward so the tray comes out within the driver's reach? Glove compartment might be possible too, but it might be too short in the back. If there's any room behind the glovebox, maybe you could remove it (leaving the door) and mount the xbox there.

Not an expert with car installs by any means, just thought I'd offer some ideas. BTW, like what you've done to your Accord!
