Just browsing through eBay and noticed a 7" Unipac LCD for AU $200 and just wondering if it would be any good? I'm not even sure if its a TFT. Anyone know anything about these.

I've got a 7.5" Super LCD which I payed $160 for. I payed for what I got. It doens't have Active matrix or VGA. I'm thinking it's the same thing.

can you see good text with that and are you using any GPS software with that sceen that you can see the roads and text
Nah, since its running of Tv-out it's blurry. But it's good for MP3's and WMP

yeah i bought a UNIPAC LCD screen off the guy from ebay, its a great screen and ive no problems with it. i installed it into me dash as seen in the pic below.. got a bit of work to go on it though.
But the dude from ebay is really helpfull and a great seller.

What is text like on this screen? And do you know if its Active TFT? Is it good for movies and GPS?

Get the model number of the LCD panel. You might be able to switch the controller and add vga. Otherwise video-in/out will be blurry. Or you might be able to do r/g/b inputs if the current controller allows it.

Yeah its a little blurry, but u are only paying $200, u bump up the text size and its sweet, ill have some more pics for you tomorrow of winamp/movies. Movies well they are great. and yes is a TFT i think not 110% sure. and yes i got it off that guy at ebay. i gotta get some bonda to fix up the dash a little... those squiggles u can see was were i put down glue to hold some vinyl but then its looked worse then it does now.
