dude that's a NTSC/PAL input, meaning COMPOSITE, meaning LOOKS LIKE CRAP

I did my homework, I bought a cheap *** screen and it was a POS

the $400 screens have this thing called "VGA" input which is 100x better than composite

vairox, maybe if you changed the style of your questions to be less adversarial (sp), people would respond to them in a more civilized manner.

Good deals on Ebay, but I only found 1 Liliput LCD that had VGA input.

Its $325. By the time I add a touchscreen, I'm at $425.

It appears you came up short in proving that there are better deals to be found. I'm not saying they don't exist, but either "show me the money" or stop babbeling like an overexcited highschooler about getting ripped off.

I bought a 5.6" in dash composite from Dave, and replaced it with a 7" in dash widescreen from Armen. I don't have the same need for VGA as others here, as my interface is sufficiently large & bold that I can get away without the fine detail.

The 5.6" was fine, and the only reason why I replaced it was because the 7" was bigger and fit into the same size hole.

If you'd done a little more research, you'd find that the Gain screens and the Xenarc screens are in fact internally identical. As a result, there is no difference between Xenarc and DSCustoms except for price and service. Once again, I can't complain about either. Dave makes a point of holding spares if required - this was certainly the case with the 5.6" screen that I bought off him previously.

The same can be said for Armen. He responded acceptably (even though I am in Australia, and therefore miles away), sending a spare part for the enclosure that I needed.

I restate my earlier comment. If you're unsure about a supplier, why not start a conversation with them? Talking to someone is the best way to get to know them.
