    Casio LCD

    Hi,

I have Recently Aquired a Casio LCD Screen off a Casio In-Car GPS System. THe Main Unit is dead but the LCD still works. The LCD Contains its controller board. Its just that I cannot find any information on the LCD or the Actual unit. I need to know which Connections to use to connect this unit to a Matrox Millenium G400 Video card.

There are Several Model numbers on the Units.

The one inside the Unit is 635-M

    A picture would help greatly.

Also, the board attached to it probably isn't a controller board, but an inverter for the backlight instead (made this mistake a few times myself). I can't tell you for sure since I haven't encountered this screen before, and have no picture to reference.

Try doing a Google search for every number you can find on the boards for info, maybe you'll get lucky and it's one of the odd ball devices that use composite video.

Then question is what signal does the controller take. If you're lucky it might be something a normal card can output, if you're not lucky it may be something like digital RGB.

When I jacked into the Red, Green, and Blue signals on a TV Using a Composite Input It appeared on the Television but it was in black and white and was missing Sync.

You might want to try the same thing that is being done with the playstation screens, there are a couple threads on this

I Disassembled the LCD and I saw on the Opposite side of the Board Pin Abbreviations, There was one saying CSync. Anyone have an Idea what signal is needed there?

Don't worry about Sync on Green, as your screen takes Composite Sync (what CSync means). Just follow the guides instructions for software, and connect H-Sync and V-Sync from your hacked VGA cable to CSync, and Red, green, and blue to the proper places (probably labled R, G, and B on the board).

I'm glad you got lucky with this screen, far too many don't have controllers.
