The only difference is that the DWW-7vga is an in-dash unit? $130 more just because it is not in a case? Why not just get the xenarc and mount in dash???
    Gotta hand it to ya

I apologize for my ignorance! I guess I still dont understand why you could not make it fit? The only problem I could see with the xenarc is that it is allready in a case, which would have to be mounted behind the dash opening. I had a xenarc 700TS for a few days (before returning it for bad pixels). I was just planning on making a custom bracket to mount it in the factory 1.5 din radio opening...no?

So, the Dww is a raw unit with no case which would be better suited for in-dash mounting?

I don't understand all the confusion

    DWW-7VGA = Xenarc 700TSV + TM-701L in-dash housing
    Everything fits perfectly.

    Armen,

Do you have any side-by-side photos of your 7" 400 nit displays versus your 250nit displays (both with touch overlays preferably)? I'm thinking about giving my 250 nit GAIN the boot in favor of one of your 400 nit screens, but I am wondering if the difference is really that appreciable with a touchscreen overlay..

    Thanks,

I sent him a pretty extensive email on this regard. The 250 nitt version says in the pdf file that its rated at 400. I also asked about viewing angle and response time. Cant wait for a reply, then from there I will purchase a screen from him.

Wait a second here -- something doesn't add up. The DWW7VGA says on the product info page that it is a panasonic LCD EDTCB, and the link on the LCD points to an information page that clearly says 400 cd/m2 for the DWW7VGA screen! Here is the link:

The Xenarc TSV is not 400 cd/m2, so how can the DWW7VGA be the same screen? Very confused.

No confusion and everything adds up

The PDF is for a Panasonic LCD panel EDTCB18 (400 nits) which is very similar to the Panasonic LCD panels EDTCB18QCF/EDTCB18QDF (250 nits) that are used in Xenarc, TM-701L, DWW-7VGA, etc, etc...

It is very hard to find these technical pdf documents for LCD panel and I used this one only because it is very very similar.

Armen, I am waiting very impatiently to purchase a DWW-7VGA, when will they become available again? Your website tells me they are still out of stock. Also the GA-700Y-Y In-dash says it will be available by the end of August, IT'S ALMOST THE END OF SEPTEMBER. My email address is Davi_Lucarelli@hotmail.com Could you post some info, or email me please. Thanks
