Help my lcd and dvd wont power up?

    Hello all
I am going to go crazy. I have a microvision 7" lcd and dvd player in my 94 maxima gxe. It was working fine for a while until one day I changed the wiring for my headunit. It already has a dedicated power to battery, so I gave it a dedicated ground to try and help with a dimming problem I was having. Anyhow after that the lcd and dvd no longer turned on? I tried changing all the ground back but that had no effect. I checked over several times here is how everything is wired:

    LCD (microvision 7000bct) 3 Wires:
    Red - constant
    Orange - ignition
    Black - ground

LCD had lighter adapter (spliced it):
Wire with white line - ignition
    Plain black - ground

Headunit Alpine CDA 9813 (works fine but is getting power directly from battery)

I was thinking maybe a fuse is blown but checked all fuses in dash and they are fine. I've also checked to make sure that the wiring is secure.

    Any suggestions

    Thanks

    Do you have a multimeter?
If so check for you last know source of power or do a continuity check one of your wires could be shorted especially if you have straight lines from the battery and no inline fuse plus if you checked under the dash for fuses then most likely your fuse lines arent near the battery which they should be to avoid the shorts in the line hope this helps
