I just e-mailed, and got in contact with Jordan Ou, He is a nice man.

I dont know how much customs i have to pay, but the price i payed was 285$. Transferred from my bank yesterday, so now i wait.

To anyone interested: LCDs shipped to the EU from a country outside the EU is liable to import tax of 14% and add VAT as well.

A screen that costs 200$ shipped to the EU for $32 shipping will cost u:

$200 LCD
$+32 Shipping
-----
$232 Total

Import Tax

$232 * 14% = 32.48
$232 * 18%VAT (i.e. VAT for Greece is 18%) = 41.76

Add about $5-$10 for some extra office costs.

About $80

Computers and Computer peripherals are NOT liable to import tax but WILL be charged VAT.

I believe you, my point was that if there is already an authorized dealer in Denmark they might have directed you to them. Since he thought that you wanted to market their product that got the ball rolling. Sounds like you could have got a free one for setting something like that up.

Hi All,
I'm looking to buy one of these Lilliput 7" VGA screens from ebay but cant decide what the cheapest and best way for me to get it sent would be.

I can get things sent to America where my sister lives or to my home address in the UK.

Obviously I would get the goods quicker from the UK but also might have to pay customs tax and VAT of up to £40 or so. From America I would have to wait until my sister next comes over to the UK (maybe a month or so) but haven't heard much about people having to pay the taxes.

Any input on how people have been charged on these screens with taxes and VAT in both America and the UK would be a definite help to a student who has already reached his overdraft limit!
