Bought it from Extreme Audio off Ebay to Canada paid ZERO duty.

Bought from Extreme Audio via UK Ebay Auction

£139 for screen
£27 delivery
£22 Touchscreen option (added to delivery making £49 total delivery)
Total paid to Extreme £188

Order Friday 23rd Oct. Delivered Friday 30th Oct to my UK addresss by Parcel Force who required

£12.25 VAT
£13.50 Admin fee to Parcel Force

Total cost just under £214

Note: There was no import duty as they had marked it as Computer monitor on the packaging which has 0% rating.

$303 total from Extreme Audio, received in four days, no duty to US.

Bought from Extreme Audio (Ray) Ebay.

Auction in US Dollers not GBP

Also with Empressor DVD as stopgap until PC is ready.

Shipped Hong Kong to UK

Price paid DVD £231 & Lilliput £174.59 (2nd Item lower shipping). Any customs charges payable in the UK are calculated on declared value + Postage costs, not actual price paid.

Customs delaration = Merchandise
Contents = Comp Monitor, DVD Player.
Declared Value = LCD £22 DVD £40 Total £62

Charges. VAT £16.10

So did you tell Ray to declare £22 & £40 ??

Mine spent 1 week in Spanish customs! Then another week lost by the Spanish post office!!! Eventually got it and was charged 30€ for the privelige.
Declared as computer monitor $228 US
30€ was for the IVA (Equivalent to VAT)

No. Hadn't even thought of that. Was expecting to pay for the import duties at full price if needed.

Not sure Ray even knew as forms were filled out at the Hong Kong end.

Invoice declared value of computer monitor as £22 which coincidently is how much extra I had to specify to pay for the touchscreen. Sort of buy touch screen get screen declared as nothing

Just received mine, lilliput with touch screen. 285$ shipped to Denmark, no duty taxes :-)

To UK buyers £230 inc delivery and bank 'wire transfer' no duty or VAT as in the european union..
