    applying films over DScustoms touchscreen.

I'm currently hunting down some anti reflective/glare films to be use on my screen. I know that the DScustoms 7" touchscreen is pressure sensitive, not capacitance sensitive, so applying a film to it shoudn't effect anything, but does anyone have any experence with applying adhesive films to them? I'd like to know if this will work before I mess about with it.

It should be fine. It's the matter of finding the right film. I used to have a low glare 7" LCD from preformance teknique. Amazing LCD apart from the fact that it's not VGA.

Please let us know what film you choose and what the results are.. I'd be very curious as well. I think the DSCustoms overlay has some sort of AR film on it already though...

im very interested in this myself. Havent found anything yet though.
What i would really like is a reflective screen, like the screens that are on PDA's and such. I can use my dell axim in direct sunlight and everything looks just as fine as if i were indoors. I want that in my car.

I'm currently waiting for a reply from a company called Eyesavers International. They seem to be set up for much larger applications then a single person. (IE. "Ive got 200 LCD monitors I need this film applied to.")

I hope to be able to get a sheet of the stuff anyways.

Often it helps if you have a company name to go with it to get samples. Often enough, they will send you samples. I got 3 Xbox mod IC chips for free including shipping once.
