Exclamation Touch Screen Drivers for Dennis K Sharp 8.4"LCD? HELP?!

I bought a used Dennis K LCD off of a member here and don't know what I need to do to get this serial port TSK to work with Windows XP Pro. I know that DigitalWW has touchscreen drivers for their Xenarc 7" screen but was wondering will those drivers work for this device? I downloaded those drivers (digitalww) ones, but it seems as you need a password to unzip the damn file Anyone have this password or know where I can download the appropriate files to get this TS up and running? Thanks in advance guys!

first off, a fair warning, You will probably get yelled at for cross posting,

anyways, what does the touchscreen controller say on it? Does it have any name brand, or model number?

EDIT: Here is a page with lots of drivers for various touchscreen devices, this is where I found the ones I needed, http://www.innovaelec.com/cpdownload.htm

By the looks of that other thread you dug up, it is a MicroTouch controller, perhaps you should try this driver:

I just installed that on the computer and it keeps saying that it can't find the touchscreen on Com1. It only has 1 serial port so there is no other options to choose anyways. Wonder if I should run up to work and buy a serial to USB adaptor?

No, I think that will be even more complicated (the USB adapter),, first check in your BIOS to make sure that the serial port is turned on. Then if it is turned on, try other com port numbers anyway, sometimes Com1 will be already taken by another device even though there is no serial port plugged up to it. Usually it will be com1-com4.

Which drivers exactly had the password protection? Let me know so that I can fix it.

I checked the bios and it is active. It lets me change around the IRQ and such but doesn't let me change off of COM1 in the bios. The system tab under device manager also says that there are no conflicts and the device is working properly.

Although when I start the damn program sometimes it says the touch screen is in use by another program, then I click ok. The driver program loads and then I keep hitting search for touchscreen and it never finds it. Hit me up on AIM at RCellViper if you have any advice anyone. Thanks MeanGT for all of your help so far

Ok I take that back Armen, I got it to work on this computer, took it over to the carputer and it gave me a password the first time, it was the winxp/2000 drivers. Oh well I will try again on the carputer, thanks for your concern :thumbup
