Couldn't wait for the factory fit ones to become available as I need something for a Celica-Club meet at the weekend so I started this a few weeks back just in case.

Its not perfect (as the paint is slightly the wrong shade and is too shiney) but it will do. Gonna leave it now until I see what the factory fit ones come out like as I'm looking to colour code my centre section to match the dark red leather interior I have.

Edit: changed the piccie coz this one shows the console modding better. Trying to decide on S/W and frontend to use but MediaCar and Fireskull look good so far.

    NJay,

Nice job. I'm also thinking about redoing mine. Replace factory stereo with 1 din stereo and fit a 7" right above.

00CericaRuss, yes it's me from Celica.net way back then. I used to be VictorGTS there. Too busy with own site at CelicaGarage.com to really post there now.

Nice to see your ride is so nice! You have a great setup.

I appologize for the delay. I've been extremely busy with other projects, and I'm getting married in 2 weeks, so the console hasn't progressed as quickly as I had hoped. I have a prototype, and have begun the process of creating production molds. It looks VERY similar to the console NJay built. I will post pictures very soon. Again, I'm sorry for taking so long on this. My business normally does normal car audio work, including custom fiberglass and other interior/exterior work. Plastic work is much more involved in the beginning, but I know everyone will be pleased, even if they had to wait. Thanks for your patience!!

impact: thnk you for the status.
I personly don't care how long time you will use to produce those consoles, as long as the result is good which I think is..
I am looking forward to see the pictures and buy my console.

    I have a question:
How will the mounting the screen into console be?
In Norway in big cityes we have some thief problems and is I can mount and unmount LCD quickly to anf from the console thne the console is 110% perfect for me
It is just a question as I sad. I will buy a console anyway hoe the console will have mounting.

Congratulation with weeding. and good luck to you...

Getting married - Did that 3 years ago and it does take up your time. Good luck with it all

    Goose,
the UK is no different in terms of theft.
Now that christmas is over I'm going to look into creating a piece that covers the monitor up. I had already thought about this prior to making it, hence why the screen is recessed very slightly to create a lip to rest it on and why the bit above the screen is fairly flat so that it will lean against it.

Thought about a fake set of dials or something so that it looks like to the casual TWOC'er, that the area have been purposely filled in to house them

I'll post on here once done.

PS Goose, Did you get my email???
