System: Tried LCD connected to laptop and pc? both fine!
VGA: An Intel 82830M in Sony Vaio and Intel 82810E on desktop
Operating System: WinXp
Problems: No, couldnt get down to 640x480 on laptop but that was a problem with laptop.
Comments: Excellent bit of kit, see my post elsewhere!

System: VIA EPIA Mini-iTX MII 10000 (VIA C3 Nehemiah 1GHz)
VGA: Neither On-board VGA Castlerock nor ATI All-in-Wonder VE (7500) will drive the LCD
Operating System: Fedora Core 1
Problems: Yes, only works on a few video cards, usually really old ones I dig our of my junk box
Comments: Blinks every few seconds like it's trying to take the sync, but never works out.

The Lilliput display looks great when I hook it to an old ATI Rage Pro 3D card, but that's a little old for today. It has never worked with the onboard VGA, but my oldest most warped CRT works fine. This didn't bother me too much as I was going to put a video capture board in the PCI slot anyway. So I just got an ATI All-In-Wonder VE (7500 with Theatre 200 chip), works great with the CRT, but I plug in the Lilliput... and blink! ..... blink! ..... blink! ..... same as the onboard VGA. Very disappointing. No BIOS settings help, and this is not a 'linux' problem, I can't see the BIOS boot screen either. I got the LCD from the gentleman on Ebay, so I will have to drop him a note about what to do or how to get it replaced.

Problems: Yes, Touch screen worked when first tested for 5 mins, once I took it apart for re-housing (warranty no more!) worked for a futher 3 mins, then nothing
Comments: I would leave it on for 24 hours attached to your home PC before taking apart and installing.

System: Lilliput connected to Compaq laptop (P3 500/512MB RAM 6GB HD) while carpc is built.

VGA: ATI Mobility 8MB 800x600 w/Large Fonts

Operating System: WinXp

Problems: Nothing major, when driving the touchscreen moves the mouse cursor to the center top every now and then, I just tap the screen and its back. Fingerprints on screen!!

Comments: Brightness is good during the day, slight glare but readable from drivers seating position, couldn't go less than 400nits though, 848x480 / 75Hz best for screen but most cards don't do this by default. I run 800x600 which is good and 75hz is flicker free dvd playback.

I am happy with my Lilliput and purchased from ebay (HK)

Operating System: XP Pro
Problems: Yes - Most of the time if I hit decently large bumps (my Land Rover doesn't ride very smooth at all), the screen flashes out and starts going all white. Within about 20 seconds it will come back on. During this time though, you can't press the power button to re-set it, you have to pull the power out and re-insert it if you don't want to wait. Also, it's not near as bright as I expected. It's is nearly unreadable during the day (Florida).

System: VIA EPIA-M10000 Erza, 256 MB RAM, 3.5" 40GB HD, 5.25" DVD, 90watt Opus, screen is powered by opus.
VGA: GeForce 4 MX440 PCI
Operating System: WinXp Pro
Problems: Drivers sent with LCD didn't work, new drivers downloaded from digitalww are perfect. Power connection at the LCD is loose, if the car vibrates the screen will flicker and sometimes turn off. This is a simple fix I just haven't gotten around to it. I have had some display problems related to the graphics card, but those were minor and had little to do with the Lilliput.
Comments: The case is a little off on the bottom right hand corner, like it wasn't matched up properly before someone screwed it together. It's slight and out of view so I'm not eager to try and fix it. Glare isn't a problem for me in Arizona with no tint, sunglasses and bright sun directly on the screen. It's quite faded at that point but I can still read the thing.

Comments: Used in car in the day and did experience some glare when it was sunny. Solved by tinting rear windows (helps to hide gps mouse, wlan etc also). Touchscreen - fiddly to touch the top corners with my stubby fingers but is quite accurate when I get it right. 9x drivers worked fine with win98, xp drivers did not and had to download newer ones from digitalww.com. Overall would buy another as was happy.

Question for you Lilliput users:
1) Do you have to turn on the LCD every time you start driving the car OR does the display turn on when it gets power?

2) I see a lot of issues with the display here? Are there any good experiences out there? Is there anyone using a Mini-ITX M1000 board and the Lilliput without problems?

I have converted mine into a indash housing, I need to turn it on for me to use it. The new lilliput I got off Ebay, seems to be a newer model.. few things different inside. I'm very happy with this one, but the touchscreen surface is quite reflective.

Problems: Maybe - I just got screen yesterday from DigitalWW. So I'm still figuring it out. The documentation is abyssmal. It appears to have been written by someone with limited English and limited experience with the hardware. My screen is an in-dash unit, with the Lilliput screen rather than the typical Xenarc. The screen is bright and clear - no dead pixels. But I think there are issues with the Via M10k VGA. The screen doesn't like any refresh rate other than 60hz - even though the manual says it takes up to 85hz. If I set to a resolution that is beyond 60hz, the LCD goes out of range and won't come back until you turn the LCD off and on. Also, the LCD has an auto-adjust setting that messes everything up. If I hit the autoadjust while watching a DVD the image jumps to the top of the screen (normally has black bands on top and bottom) and gets about 1/3 of the screen image wrapping up from the bottom. Very strange. It took a power reset and reboot to clear it.

Comments: I like the screen, but wish my EPIA M10k Nehemiah worked better with it. If only Via would have imbedded nVidia graphics!! S3!?!? What were they thinking?!?
