1. who is they, and where is the screen from?
2. is it the same screen that you started with ( model number i mean)?
3. check and double check all the connections again.
4. the grounds should be common but not necessarily required.

very hard to diagnose... best of luck. you might try contacting the vendor to see what the deal is.

The monitor was in a restaurant, no brand name on it. The LCD is a Torisan and the one I replaced it with is the same model Torisan I purchased off of ebay. I realize that it could be a bad lcd because of where I got it, but I didn't want to pay the $270 that I was quoted from an online supplier.
