but they state a lead time of 25 days for the VGA screen
While doing some research I cam across the web site http://www.lilliputweb.net which seems to be the US Lilliput web site. I emailed them to ask about retail locations, they said they sell direct and will have more VGA monitors in stock on November 26th.
Prices quoted:
618GL-70NP without touch scree is $245.00.
618GL-70NP with touch screen is $299.00.
Shipping is $12 UPS Ground
They also have the headrest mounting brackets which was something I was looking for.
I spoke to John Xu by mail (johnxu "at" lilliputweb.net), he was very helpful. Mention the forum if you make contact then he can see where the interest comes from.
I have no connection or affiliiation to Lilliput, I just thought another source may be useful.

Where is he located? I like suppliers which are located closer to where I live. Easier to go knock on the door if anything is wrong.![]()

If it's stuck, force it. If it breaks it needed replacing anyway
gee that was hard took me 2 clicks, they are located in california.
hmmm, should we bring up a discount for mp3car members with this retailer? Maybe a 10% off or something? Since im sure they will be getting a good amount of business from us.
Did anyone confirm this is the 400nit LCD display? Everything else is listed on their website (VGA) and he said touch, so.....
I asked about the VGA screen with and without touch. I like the idea of buying from the manufacturer, a little more responsibility hopefully in case anything goes wrong.
He mentioned 3% discounts for quantities, not overly thrilling, but if we went back with a relatively firm order...
