    Trying to hide my lcd.

i haven't yet installed my lilliput lcd. i want to know what is better at hiding the lcd, if it were in the dash and came out like a motorized lcd, or if it were in dash and i put something over it? If i were to put it in dash, what might i be able to hide it with to make it not appealing to theives?
It sucks living in a bad neighborhood.

I saw a project on here a while back where somebody had a removable panel with the front of a cheapo or stock stereo on it. That's a nice trick. It was very well done too. I'm assuming you have a space in your dash big enough to mount a screen in (like a double DIN size.) If you only have a single DIN slot, then it seems like an in dash LCD would be the way to go. I hope to go that way when I can spare the dough, since I'd like to keep my head unit and have a stock looking interior.

Stick it on a gooseneck lamp arm so it can fold under the dash when unused....

Mine mounts on the top of the dash. While this is extremely visible, it allows me to take the screen with me when I get out of the car. Then theres no way someone can steal it from me. I also find mounting on the top of the dash makes it more comfortable to look at (I don't have to look away from the road to see my GPS).

I just put a sign over the screen (not so big that it attracts people, but anybody who notices my screen would notice) that says, "once you get this out of the dash, it will only be worth $70 on ebay- that is, if you don't break it"

I don't know what that would accomplish, but it's pretty hilarious.
