I can't find a place that sells these joints preferable in plastic, that would be able to hold in place the lcd. does anyone have any ideas where i could buy them?
Do you think you can draw your idea alienjj?

A hinge joint to fold it up? Fold it which way? I cant imagine it.
The pivot joint I understand, but is there such a thing?

I think its safe to assume that the lilliput doesnt fit into TM-701L or Armen would have confirmed by now.

i tried drawing it on my computer but i suck at using photoshop.

ill just try to describe it more.

the hinge joint allow the screen to fold from the foward position, the one that allows it to slide into the dash, to the flat position, that allows you to see it. the pivot joint is between the hindge and the screen, so you can rotate the screen to a better viewing angle. the way it slide in and out of the dash anyway u can make, such as sliders that are used in drawers, or ball bearings, or just a track. the important thing about these kinds of joints is that they hold their place, unlike a door hindge that's just loose.

BTW u still haven't been able to find them, and home depot doesn't have them, and no searches turn up anything on the internet, also i'm looking for plastic ones, because i don't think their are metal ones.

I think this is what I have been thinking about too alienjj. That is a good idea but I am having trouble looking for the parts. I think plastic will be the best parts we can find and the rails can be metal.

Will yours be able to turn the LCD left or right? So far mine won't and I'm thinking of way to make it a bit left or right.

Have you made a cardboard or plastic model?

BTW, Since I am currently attending school and my hometown is outside the US, I don't have my car, my question is:

What is the size of a single or double din? I need the height and width.

Hope to hear from you guys.

I was able to fit the lilliput into the housing (its tight, but it fits). I'll take some pictures when I get a chance. All I have to finish is wiring the cables through the back of the housing... I just took a look at Armen's howto, and i like the zipties. I'll probably do that tomorrow if I get the chance. Stay tuned for some pics... The screen rox...

(you will most likely have to dremel a "tad bit" at the upper clips on the front of the housing to move the screen up a bit to properly fit the image in the outline of the housing.)
