    Some people....

...really don't look very hard when it comes to Ebay.

this lillput screen was auctioned on Ebay UK and went for £200 + delivery.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=3065033572

Not too bad considering that the screen is already in the UK hence no duty or VAT to pay.

However the same screens are also available at the buy it now price on a differenet auction for £185.

What's even more ironic is its the same supplier so the £200 auction winner could have saved themselves some money had they bothered to look

same stuff happens everyday on eBay, if you look around you'll see that alot of the computer peripherals for sale on ebay, used or new are going for less on Pricewatch.com. Also it's new there unless it says otherwise. I never buy anything on eBay unless I know what the current "street price" is. Chances are you can get it for less on Pricewatch.

Very true. I tend to work when max bidding on 2/3rds of what I can buy it for new on the internet. Anymore than that and in my opinion its gone for far too much money as that extra 1/3rd buys you 12months warranty and knowing you (normally) are the 1st time user. Nothing like buying a sub or an amp that's been beaten to within an inch of its life by the person putting it up on ebay

Only electronic things i've bought on ebay is a Dlink USB radio (£12.49 incl. shipping) and a Canon Powershot A70 for £222 incl. shipping.

These went for who know's and about £300 in the shops, so I think I did pretty well with those

It's good however when you get stupid people bidding on something you're selling and pushing the price up over retail

It's all about doing the extra research. Chances are that if you went into a local electronics store with only a vague idea of what you wanted you'd end up overpaying too. Research is the key.
