What do you mean "To start" that's about it. Ok, so giving you that, add 100 bucks for the TSK, it's still cheaper by ~100. So what's the ~100 dollar difference? DIY touchscreen, and casing?

And to someone else, sorry forget who, no, the casing isn't listed, but armen has posted it for sale a couple of times, look around the forums and you should come acrosss it.

The difference in price is related to the fact that Armen personally mods those units and that in-dash VGA lcds are very rare. Therefore he adds that $100+ to the price, which he very well can.

Thats my guess on the price difference

digitalww doesn't have the $90 in dash housing listed on the website but I remember Armen saying they would be available for $90 shipped a couple weeks ago.

DWW-7VGA costs so much because I use a Gain/Xenarc 7" VGA LCD. Despite all the new 7" VGA monitors that are available now Gain monitors still cost more $$. It is a very good monitor. When I did a prototype that is what I used and it came out very good. Also, it takes about 2-3 hours to make each one so I charge a little more for labor.

Here is the link for the in-dash housing ($90): http://www.digitalww.com/MP3CAR/indashhousing.htm

It is listed on the website under accessories and it is $100 shipped. Use the above link go get the special price of $90 shipped.

I still don't have them in-stock, but that is another story (I got screwed by FedEx again ). I will most likely start shipping the housings on Wednesday.

The link Ninja posted to ebay is not touchscreen.

Armen, it says on your site that the housing are in stock, did they arrive yet or not?

So will all your 7" screens fit this housing? What about screens bought elsewhere? How hard of an install is it?

    thanks

Most 7" LCD panels are the same size so yes, they will fit.

    Gain/Xenarc - fits perfectly
    Lilliput - fits perfectly
T-View/TM-700VGA - haven't tried but it will also fit perfectly.

Here is what the installation looks like for a Gain/Xenarc LCD: http://digitalww.com/VGA_Controller_howto.htm
    Installation takes about 2-3 hours.
