    a Scooby thread Even though mine is a lowly Impreza Outback Sport 02 it still has AWD and a H4

    I plan on going the same path as Leslie and getting an indash LCD, hopefully the VGA one off of Digitalww.

    Also, my computer is going to go under the passengers seat, it isn't heigh adjustable and it looks like I have about 3.5-4" of horizontal space to work with.

    It's not too great in daylight. At night it's just right - not too bright. So far, no big deal as I seem to do all my driving to/from work when it's dark or dusk or dawn. I think I'm working too long. Tinting would probably help some, but I haven't done it yet.

    No Scooby is lowly...they're all good

    I think the carputer is such a perfect fit for the Impreza image. Smart, off-kilter, swiss-army knife of capability, and a plain techno-cool--I "know something you don't know". Yeah, it's kinda a snobbish attitude, but not in the Bimmer/VW owner sort of way...it's more techno-geek cause it's not about how much your car costs, but how many capabilities it has. At my age, it feels like the perfect fit. In a few years, when I turn 30...I might move up to something more "respectable"--like a Legacy 2.5GT

    I hope you mean a Legacy 2.5GT Turbo They are coming to north america!!! Should be around $28K pushing 250hp+

    This is my install in a 2003-model WRX : (not STi, but doubt its different)

    I dont have pictures (yet) on how I installed the screen, but I'll probably be dismanteling it partially this weekend, I'll make screenies how I did it...

    Going to use some 12-12 PS, probably Opus but will look to see what else is out there first. I have a bunch of 12v laptop power connectors that I may see if I could hard wire in.
