The STi has a signal amplifier for the radio antenna. It is located behind the trim in the left rear roof pillar.

Thanks LESLIEx317537 & wi77iam for the info. My 2004 is probably the same as the STI since the antenna is in the window. I'll be hooking up my Dlink USB radio in the next week or so.

Any ideas on where to get an antenna cable extension? I'd like to put the Dlink under the seat next to the amp to keep the analog cabling as short as possible.

Hey,

Another STI owner in the thread, I ordered the piece that goes where the ashtray and cigarette lighter are from the dealer ship yesterday. I am going to try to mount my screen in the that location with some custom fabrication. I have an Alpine IVAD900 head unit already that is going in the stock location. I also measured the dash slide out cup holder and that will hold a cd drive flush mounted. What does everybody think. See ya

Better yet, goto a auto store, they got a antenna extension that fits perfect. I cut the middle and plugged both ends into my Dlink and then my HU, I get FM on my Computer and my Headunit. Woo wee neato.

But soon, when my 4 ch amp comes along with my Reverse cam and my 1 farad cap, I'm gonna go Headunitless, and gonna run juststhe Dlink. O here's a cool pic of the super high output 90amp STi alt. doing its job nicely on my 800 watt sub amp and a 250 watt Keypower PC.
