My Dlink is also in the trunk. I connected a thin coax line directly into the antenna amp located inside the left rear pillar.
I plan on moving my USB FM to the trunk area along with my Sound Card.Originally Posted by phc

If you don't mind can you show me the picture of your connection or where the antenna amp wire is in the trunk? I know that the antenna amp box is on the rear deck where a left deck speaker could go. Is that what you connected it to?Originally Posted by wi77iam

Leslie,
I looked at your engine bay and wonder to my self. Wow, how did you manage to keep it so spotless. You have to tell me. I'm afraid to open my hood cause it's a mess in there.
I dono, I never even cleaned it yet.
I do park inside my garage, I know that helps.
I drive in salty snowy roads too. The engine bay stays clean. Just slighty dusty, I got almost 10k miles on my car. Picked it up in July 2003.

For what it's worth, I'm another STi owner, and with Wi77iam's pictures had the confidence to install my Xenarc in the dash. The results are great, looks factory installed. I will say, though, that the glare and all is a killer. On a bright day (and we have a lot of them in southern California) I can't see a damn thing. Mind you I haven't played around with it much as I'm having some computer trouble. So I might have to tint the windows.
Quincy
Yeah, I too will tint my windows very light though.
The great thing about my screen is the ability for it to move around and avoid glare. I didn't think of that till I started using it.

Hello! Looks like we have some people close to PA here - if anyone with a completed system is willing to drive to PA so that I can check out your system, I would repay you with discount dyno time (I own an AWD dyno), discount ECUTek, etc. We have a two day WRX dyno day coming up as well...
I have an Empeg in my Durango, and just picked up a WRX, and think I want to go in-car PC this time. I was originally thinking of going headunit + touchscreen, but I see so many people happy with no HU that I might consider it. FM is very important to me...
Thanks!
Josh
No matter if you got HU or no HU the FM reception gets poor when you turn on the PC.
It did it in my Old Prelude, my STi, and my friends Jetta install. - All three have different antenna's. Power/Glass/Roof.
I think it's EMI.
Do you carry the Delta Dash program for my STi? I want to interface the OBD2 into the USB port with the USB key.
