I already emailed Mipec so we are going to work it out.

Some day when I'll own my own shipping company, all the packages will be handled with care and always be delivered on time

Then, after his wait, he finally got a response, and soon after recieved this poorly assembled and overlubed screen. First impressions are important. When you open the box and find it was hastily assembled and parts are just not right, it makes you wonder why you paid and waited so long for it. Liliput has left a terrible taste in my mouth in the same way. Poor quality. The difference is that this was a hand assembled unit and it should have been inspected and/or packaged better.
    It is exact

I think a big key here would have been contact. I know Armen is busy, and has a lot going on, but an email or two would have probably made mipec understand and worry less than just leaving him hanging. I understand that shipping companies suck, the stories I could tell but I think he is saying that it took 25 days to recieve any confirmation in the form of a tracking number. I could be totally out of line here, please correct me if I am wrong, but this is what I got from my readings of this thread.

For those of you that have ordered DWW-7VGA in-dash units:
I just spoke with Armen. He is having trouble getting touch screen kits for the screen that goes in the unit (Xenarc, I think), and he is offering to put in a Lilliput screen and kit for you. The nice part is that since the Lilliput screen is cheaper, you save money.

Call Armen if you have any problems. Note that his number changed not too long ago. Check the website for the new number.

    Later,
    Tom

I think you guys cut Armen too much slack. If he wasn't the only guy with the in dash housing I don't think he would get any business. I have been lurking on this forum for three months and the complaints never stop. No return calls. No shipments. No return emails. Makes me extremely reluctant to order anything from him.

I got mine in 1 week after I paid.

If you live in Afganistan, yeah it might take a while.

I recently ordered a rearview backup cam, and he upgraded my shipping to 2day for free. I got it on Weds after ordering over the weekend.

    No complaints here at all.

Besides, your just lurking here, why don;t you contribute, and maybe try ordering something from him before you make any judgements.

    Hey Leslie,

Why don't YOU get off of Armen's jock? Why are YOU the only one with positive feed back on every one of the complaint posts? Somebody ck the IP's.

    Typical Leslie post:

"I ordered X on Tuesday for Wednesday morning delivery. I got it Wednesday afternoon and called Armen. He is so cool. He gave me a tube of screen lube! Maybe if you weren't in Botswana it wouldn't have taken so long. Give him a break he is a busy guy."

Take this quote. Copy and paste on every post complaining about Armen and DigitalWW. You are so annoying.

    CONTRIBUTION...........

SAME MOTORIZED INDASH VGA AS ARMEN. Xenarc, AUTHORIZED USA DISTRIBUTOR for the manufacturer, will not have the indash, motorized, VGA (on display at CES) until late May. News as of 3:30 PST, 03-04-2004.

From a lowly lurker that is unworthy to speak foul of Armen.
