I just chked my nVidia properties GeForce4 MX440se and it has up to date drivers... Supports ***** Loads of Resolutions including 848x480 without having to create a custom Res.. although that option is available also...
Just use any Nvidia card. Download Latest drivers, this is a must. They include an option to have custom resolutions!!!
Make a resolution at 856 * 480 I think it was. You will then have to adjust screen position from within the same Nvidia software, and in the monitor too. I think my refresh rate was 70.
Then look in monitor information in lilliput menu it will show 848 * 480.
And the bonus media car widescreen skin covers the whole screen no black bars.
The trick is installing lastest video card drivers!!!!!!!!

Some cards were never designed to support such resolutions, the driver know which card you are using so dont put the odd resolutions in as a standard option.
So will I be ok using this card?? http://www.dvcentury.com/Merchant2/...ode=96-230-9205
that link took me nowhere, I have a 4 Nvidia cards aroung the place, they are all different models. I use anything from an old tnt card and up the lastest drivers work with all and give all options.
Maybe find someone with an older card and try for yourself, you may pick something up on ebay cheap. Its exactly what I have done recently.
Just remember the native res for the liliput is 800 x 480. And differnt monitor inf files will allow certain resolutions and some wont on the standard windows properties are.
What NVidia cards do you have that offer 848x480?? I have a vanta that does not support it. Thanks for your help.
