What 5.6" LCD to get?

Hey

I am buying a 5.6" LCD.

It needs to show picture on 1024*768 resloution as it will be added to a 12" that can do that. It also needs to be able to connect to either VGA or S-Video (prefered) conectors.

there are 5.6's out there, but the most common is the 7". the liliput or the xenarc seems to be pretty popular. check digitalww.com or dscustoms.com

um, I can't get an answer from digitalww.com about a couple of stuff (the max resolution, the height and the width of the screen, can you conect it to a s-video out..)

any help please? still searching for a 5.6" screen..

I too have been trying to find a 5 to 6 inch screen with s-video in but the only one I could find was a Intec PS2 screen. I don't know how good the screen is though and if it takes advantage of the s-video or just has a port. I think you can do the VGA mod for it like the PSone screen but not certain.

If you find some other screen that has s-video input please post it on the board.

yeah, but the vga mode cant work with 1024x768, it can work with a lower resolution

for 1024x768: go buy a xenarc or a lillyput

do they make them in 5.6" size? can't find it really..

I have a lilliput I cant get over 800x600, my lilliput says OUT OF RANGE when trying to view it that high. Ive even set the refresh rate down to 60htz, with no luck.

this is bad news :S

i really need to find some 5.6" that can do 1024*768... and with a s-video connection..

or I'll need to buy another graphic card on PCI slot for the 5.6" and set it to 800*600, which sux :S

Damn the small steering wheel (can't put anything else but 5.6" in it)

I can do 1024*768 on my 5 inch but it is not VGA its just a regular TV inputs no S-Video and its not a standalone unit. Have you tried any of the ones that are suppost to be mounted in headrests maybe you could use one of those?
