Well I got my screen today and it didn't fit without me modifying my stereo cage, and now I have to cut a little bit of plastic off the sides of the bezel where the screen slides out. It's like 1/2 cm wider than the bezal.
No problem, if I need a new bezel, they are 50 buks online.

Where can you order a replacement STi bezel on-line? I'm trying to find one so I don't hack up my current car's bezel!
thanks

Gremlin, you can usually find this part on www.nasioc.com, as well as pretty much any other part you could want for your car. Look in the "private for sale" forum in the "classifieds" category. People are usually selling them from parting out wrecked cars.Originally Posted by Gremlin

Just out of curiousity, what are the dimensions of your screen w/ it's casing?
2002 Subaru WRX - Silver
-FP18G turbo
-Walbro fuel pump
-Modified OEM 840 CC Injectors
-TurboXS: UTEC, turboback, uppipe, intake
-Blitz FMIC
-STI cluster
-17"x7.5" SSR Competitions
-Tein Flex coilovers
-NOS 50 shot
-2004 rear conversion
The screen is 1cm wider than the STi outer plastic bezal.

Other than that, the screen works great. The angle is good. I had to modify the cage to fit it, and now I'm going outside to shave some plastic off the sides with a Xacto knife. If that don;t work, busting out the dremal, but I don't want a rough finish and I don't want to sand.

Leslie - are you able to provide the exact dimensions of the in-dash housing including the size of the plastic bezel ? I'd like to see if it would fit my S40 dash without having to trim the dash. I asked Armen about it but there's no reply so far.Originally Posted by LESLIEx317537
Can you tell me if the in-dash monitor works okay? I also have a WRX STI and am trying to choose between fitting a Xenarc 7" into the double DIN space or using an in-dash pop-out thing. I've been warned against the pop-out type because of the flex/etc. when you try to use it/press buttons. But, I'm a bit worried about the huge amount of work required to put a Xenarc in the double DIN space (removing the Xenarc from its case, working out brackets to put it in place, and somehow making it look factory installed).

Works perfect, I gotta post pics, adnd a small how-to.Later.
I'll never get a stationary screen as long as glare exists. My screen moves where the sun ain't.
