    8.4" TFT SVGA (800x600) Display?

I'm looking for a 8.4" TFT with SVGA (800x600) resolution (XGA 1024x768 would also be acceptable) for a custom project I'm working on. It needs to have a VGA-style input to be hooked to a computer.

I've found a couple of these displays but none with control boards, and I'm not up to the challenge of making my own. Price is always a factor, but I know this screen with be more expensive than a 640x480 screen, and I'm okay with that.

I've googled, ebayed, checked my mouser catalog, etc, and except for one complete kit I found from flatvision.co.uk (who I can't get to answer my e-mails regarding if they sell directly to consumers or if they have a distributor I could order from), I haven't been able to find what I need.

Does anyone have any ideas where I could find such a beast?

    TIA

12.1" is too big for my application. I'ts gotta be around 8.4".

    Thanks, though.

I just found exactly what I need from Apollo Displays for a mere 628.70 USD. It does do 1024x768, though. Still looking for something cheaper.

Yeah, earthlcd's 8.4" kits are only 640x480, and that doesn't meet my (admittedly strange) requirements.

I tried searching before I posted anything, but I think the search might be broken (at least for me). No matter what I tried searching for, it came back instantly with no results found.

EDIT: I just did an advanced search with your name, and i seemed to work fine. I'll look though your posts soon. Perhaps "advanced search" means it will actually try a search here.

ObGeek: As a Solaris sysadmin, I'l like to commend whoever wrote the indexing code for the search engine. It's pretty snappy.
