    BMW Z4 custom installation.....

Hallu guys.... I have a Project......I have a Z4 CID display and I would like to install it on another car.... a Smart....

This is a very interesting motorized display that I like very much....and that could give to my "little car" a "buisness" aspect.....

The problem is that BMW ( as usual .... ) don't give me the tecnical datasheet of the monitor and connector... so now I have a beautifull not-working object.........

I discovered on the net that this is a Sharp display that accepts RGB ( synk-on-green) imput signal....I'd like to use it to play DVD ( not for a carputer at the moment....) and I have to make a videocomposit to rgb converter ( I don't think that could accept directly videocomposit imput....)

but for the moment the first problem to overcome is to turn on the motor.....

I opened yhe display case and loock very well the connector... but I can see only 4 identical cable....that I could not identify.... I could only suppose :

    -12 volts power
    -masse
    -remote
    -????

I have a white BMW connector... and I don't have found anyware the pin indications.....

Please I really wants to finish this project... I need your help...

    Thanks

wow, that housing looks very close to the shape of the AC grill in a BMW X5. I've been on a mission to try and find a way to mount my Xenarc in the X5. I already have a OBM so the best place to mount the xenarc was on the left side of the center AC vent. It looks really cool there but it would look even better if I knew how to fabricate so I can embed the xenarc into the AC vents so it looks simiar to your lcd housing but with ac vents as well.
