All these ideas won't work if you been driving your car within the neighborhood at night with the screen on. It already told them that you have some type of monitor in your car and if anything blocks the din, bet they will still break the glass and uncover it just to make sure.

Get a closed in garage is the best way.

That's the reason I don't play my stereo around where I live... I don't want anybody thinking I have something they want.

    hahaha...

I like the sweat shirt idea!

But yea, thought i would ask around to see if anyone has done anything similar. I just wished i had more space in my boot. Cause after all this junk goes in there, i am gonna have no room left!

Used to be able to fit in at least 1 full size suitcase and now i can bearly fit in a duffle bag! hehehe...

Does anyone know of a skin that you could use with a button that basically makes the screen black? Cause you could always switch off the screen, but that causes too many problems in the long-term... If you were able to just make the screen go black, no one would see it...

A blank screen saver might do the trick.

I wrote this http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/show...141#post168141 to darken the screen at night. It is a prototype but the last "button" blacks the screen. I find I still have a fair amount of light bleed through from the backlight but give it a try.

I wasn't the first to do it, but I did do it. Pics etc here: -

    Mitsubishi FTO Stealth Screen Installation

Car changed for TVR Griffith 500, so computer de-installed. Using a Dension 100ix w/60Gb HD unit in the interim.

You could just put a switch on the backlight on/off signal that goes to the inverter.
