Well, believe it or not, VIA TW team has sent me BIOS and driver combo supporting 800x480 a month ago already. I did not get it probably because of mailbox limit and only found out yesterday when I got reply to my reminder. Unfortunatelly, because it was Re: there wer no attachements this time so I have asked them to resend them too.
Lets see if I get them again later on today!![]()

Yep, I have them now. Looking for FTP to place them on. When I do, I will forward login details
Would really appreciate the details to if possible
Thanks
Vince
Everyone is welcome to download them from following location:
ftp://ftp.fic.cz
This is anonymous ftp account so no username or password is needed. You will find both BIOS in file and XP driver in VIA folder. However, beware! Try it on your risc. I will probably get no support other then common bugfixes so please if you decide to test them, post as much bugs as you can so I can forward them to VIA.
Edit: I have just tried to update the BIOS first with aw823fl.exe which resulted in no video on VGA. System works, I can see HDD activity untill WinXP loads and responses to system key presses but no output on VGA. Did not try CRT yet so maybe TV out is active only. Also, it could be just failure during BIOS flash. Will try to update it on EPROM program machine now.
Edit (2): False alarm. But its kind a tricky anyway. This time you have to hook on desktop LCD and in the setup screen select "CRT", "640x480" and "PAL" to get the puicture on Lilliput. Well what do you know..![]()
