Quality difference between Pal and NTSC??

    Hi all,

I've just been playing around with the display settings with my Radeon 9600 XT connected temporarily to my TM-702LT and have been trying to get the best overscan as the screen seems to either have stretched the image so bottom windows (eg where the start menu is) are hard to click because of clipping or with overscan off and there are black borders!

Anyway, overscan seems to be better on Pal I (UK setting) but the quality seems to be much, much better when I put the region to NTSC in display properties, any reasons for this or ways to get Pal displaying properly??

    Thanks,
    Paolo

i have the same screen and have the same problem. I have as yet have not worked it out. ALso, when i adjust the screen to the best image (under XP on a VIA 600 board) it looses its settings when you power down and power back up agian. ?
