Newbie - Lilliput Questions

Hello All..... Nice place... cool info!

I actually stumbled here looking for touch screens for a home automation project..... But now I am intrigued in the CarPc type of thing...

Anyhow, on to the Lilliput touch screen:

How is the picture quality?

I have a friend who has a 7" lilliput, but to say the least, the picture is extremely poor. Mind you, his is a video only unit, with RCA inputs.....

Sounds like lots of you have this unit, what are your thoughts compared to "mainstream" car LCD panels..... Video wise that is, I know VGA is a different story of course.....

composite video input through the rca's utilizes ntsc/pal which is only around 420 lines, compared to vga which is at least double this, for watching movies and visual effects dont think it would make much difference, but gps and web browsing with such fine text having a vga lcd would make all the difference.
composite video input is for usually for watching movies from a far, and vga input would be better for close up reading of text and graphics..
