    Deep

Kalito, I have the same dash but I have a question for you, since it's obvious that you have removed the stock head unit what is the depth behind the dash? I wanted to fab an in dash case and I figured the best way to do that was it get ALL the measturement before I remove anything? I even thought about gutting my stock head unit to use as a case. What do you guys think?

Double Dins will fit in the regal. Almost everywhere you look though, sites like sonicelectronix and crutchfield will tell you they don't. The issue is the depth of the unit. Most aftermarket Double Dins are much deeper than the factory unit. This problem can be solved with a knife. When you remove the factory unit there is a plastic piece behind it, that is what limits the depth, all you have to do is remove it in some fashion and then your Double Din will fit nicely.!
