Curiosity - where's your head unit located? Is it in the glove box, or did you replace it totally?

I replaced it totally. That's the reason for replacing the amp and speakers. If you remove the HU, then you need line level to the amp, then half the speakers are 2 ohm and well... Delco uh... so I just ripped it all out and would never go back.

Hi... I was working on mine for a while, but then I sold that car and bought another Trans Am... But this time, I bought a 2002 WS.6, so I don't plan to mod it all being that it's a collector's item. However, next month I'm getting a Corvette for my daily driving car and I'll be modding the crap out of it. This is the software I was working on before I sold my car. That was about 9 months ago. I'm going to start up on it again. I designed the GUI almost 90% in Bryce (in case you're wondering) since I needed animated water and the island spins! I'll be putting this in the Vette but with the same monitor setup.

    (Hope my image attach works.)

As you can see, I'm not a great graphics artist... But I'm good at programming the engine that runs this, so I'll find someone to make me a gui.

I'm going to redo the faceplate where the oem stereo is, and moving the hvac controls down and angled...and I'm shoving a 8" screen in it. IF your willing to get rid of the hvac controls, you can do a 10.4"

I'm glad to see other FBody peeps here. I just bought a '99 30th Aniv. Pace Car In a few months its gonna need a new T6, but until then its fine. About to get my fiance a firebird also.

If you guys are looking for a good spot to place the amps (if you are replacing your factory HU), you should look at subthumps amp racks. He also makes some nice sub enclosures for the driver and passenger side spaces (for those of us with t-tops )

    Amp Racks:

    All his Camaro/Firebird stuff:

I also plan on ditching the factory monsoon stuff as well. Too much work for not enough sound quality.

P.S. Any of you guys members on EFA?
