    Bizarre Lilliput

    Hi everybody

I have a very strange problem with a Lilliput:

I've disassembled the screen, enlarged the light cable (the 2 pole one) about 7 cm. and put appart the board, just enough to let me plug the original multiconductor cables.
Well, it works fine, BUT: If the screen is off, the touch panel works. (I see it through the tv out) Just when I turn on the screen, the touch stop working!
I've checking ground loops, pins, short circuits... nothing.

Since USB touchscreen board is feeded by the USB 5v. and ground pins, it works even if the rest of the screen electronic is off. Due to this I can't understand why when it lites, it stops working. Maybe a hi-voltage interference?

Has anybody had the same problem? Has anybody any idea about how can I get rid of this? Tonight I have a presentation of my prototipe...
    Help!

    Thanks a lot,

    Miguel.

Is there a power drain when you switch on your tft, lowering the voltage to the usb ports.. thus not having enough power then to power the screen ?

Another possibility - RF interference from the lengthened inverter cable to the backlight. This carries high voltage AC, typically 180VAC at 30 to 100 kHz. Keep this cable away from other cables carrying low-level signals, especially the 4-wire touchscreen cable. Try this and see if this helps.
