There is a special kind of non-glossy plastic glass that can be bought for $3 in almost any household shop. That's what I have. As a matter of fact, it actually works better when the sun is bright than when there are clouds
Not an option for touchscreen dudes![]()

They have one with 1,800 Nits!
can you manage your dim LCD brighter in any way, without removing a touchglass of it?

i think ive mentioned this before on the forums, but ive been waiting for a 7" transflective display like on pda's
there is one listed in the products section of www.displaze.com , but is not available yet,
it has 800x480 resoloution, and as pda's do, it would not get washed out by the sun, it would only get more readable.![]()
ive tried emailing them, but they arnt that helpful, maybe if they get more e-mails about the tft, they might try and start selling it...

So you could put the plastic glass under the touch screen to reduce the glair.
On second tought this many not work. scene it is likly that the touch panel is causing the glair problem and not the brightness of the LCD.
