There is a special kind of non-glossy plastic glass that can be bought for $3 in almost any household shop. That's what I have. As a matter of fact, it actually works better when the sun is bright than when there are clouds
Not an option for touchscreen dudes

i think ive mentioned this before on the forums, but ive been waiting for a 7" transflective display like on pda's

there is one listed in the products section of www.displaze.com , but is not available yet,

it has 800x480 resoloution, and as pda's do, it would not get washed out by the sun, it would only get more readable.

ive tried emailing them, but they arnt that helpful, maybe if they get more e-mails about the tft, they might try and start selling it...

What is the name of this plastic glass, and how thick is it. The lillput touch screen is just taped over the lcd.

TS > LCD ........ TS > PL Glass > LCD

So you could put the plastic glass under the touch screen to reduce the glair.

On second tought this many not work. scene it is likly that the touch panel is causing the glair problem and not the brightness of the LCD.
