    Which screen should i buy?

've been searching out there and i'm a bit mixed up with the different screens.

I want a touchscreen in order to control the computer without the need of a mouse. firstly i thought to use a tft or lcd touchscreen. Though i've found this screen which i don't really know how it really works. It seems as if it has a 4 wire resistive touchscreen. The problem is i dont know if the accuracy is better than the tft and lcd touchscreens. Has anybody use this type of screen? I would want to hear from your experience.

I would also want to know which type of screen gives the best definition, vga, tft, or lcd.

I'm opened to any kind of ideas.

    Thanks

What you linked to is just a touchscreen overlay. You put that over an existing monitor to make it touchscreen.

If you're looking for the entire package, then what you will be looking to buy is this.

For the best definition, you want a VGA TFT.
    Here are some quick definitions:
VGA - Video Graphics Array - for the best definition, get a VGA input. Not composite/svideo
    LCD - Liquid Crystal Display
STN - Don't know what it stands for, but aka Passive Matrix. Low viewing angle, poor colour representation
TFT - Thin Film Transistor - Aka Active Matrix. High viewing angle, good colour representation.

When buying a display for text/GPS use, make sure you get something that says VGA and TFT, and avoid anything that says STN or doesn't have VGA

Thanks i think i was a bit mixed up. But know i've make up my mind but ,yet, not completly. As a last thing i've been looking at the xenarc 700ts you've mounted. The thing is that for the xenarc 700ts i would need two connections, a VGA input and the USB touch screen controller. The problem with the VGA input is that where would i find a cable long enough? And i would also be very interested in your opinion towards this model since i may buy it. Things like been able to see it in day time and if the angle of vision is enough will help quite a lot.

    Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can get VGA extention cables in various lengths from a ton of places, just go to pricewatch.com and put in VGA cable. Theres a ton of posts on here about the xenarc. The newer models are bright, but not good enough for direct sunlight viewing, you can get a brightness upgrade for them from xenarc for about $200, I've heard mixed reviews about the effectivness of it though. The xenarc and lilliput screens are probably the best "resonably priced" screens for carputer use.
