heh join the club...i was lucky enough that when the housing is in my dash, it is such a tight fit that it won't budge at all

How hard do you think it would be to add a motor to that housing?

    Board Size

    CdR,

Would you be able to tell me what the EXACT dimensions are for the Lilliput board. I want to purchase a Lilliput and take it out of the default housing and place it in one that is built for my car. Thanks

    If it's any help.

My car has a single DIN opening in the dash. I bought the TM case and mounted my Xenarc monitor into it. I then bought a DIN mounting box off of eBay for about five bucks delivered and cut off one side of the box. This makes it large enough to mount the TM case inside of it. I then installed the monitor/din box into the hole in the dash and it fits great without any mounting kit or anything else. I hope that helps, it took me a couple of days to figure this out but it works great.

yeah sure, will do it in the morning, its a bit dark outside at the mo.. I have also been searching for different housings.. found a couple on ebay, just seems alot of money to waste if it cant be done..

just as a non motorised housing this one looks ok.. OWW just noticed its half auto motorized.. OK going to order one.. F**. it
theres 6 buttons on it, only 5 are needed, so I will be sticking the 6th button on ebay.. or if anyone wants to buy it.. let me know

as for mounting this housing, I have a couple of old car stereos in the loft, I will go and see if one can be adapted.. I cant believe the tm701 doesnt come with any casing. Also the little screws that hold the front cover plate, the one you need to remove to take the draw out.. well these screws were 4, now 3.. infact theres only 1 left in, I aint a clue where the others have gone.. crap idea I think anyone lost these screws or is it just me ?

How far along are you? Do you feel it is easier than building one from scratch?
