    5 inch TFT

    Hello,
I am building my first system i am looking at buying a 5 inch TFT display.... i know a 7inch would be better but i am tight on money and space to put it... anyway i was wondering if a 5 inch is going to be too small to view... im going to run windows XP, Winamp, DVX movies and later GPS....

    Regards

    James

I had a 5" active matrix lcd... I wasnt quite happy with it... it was also RCA input.

I just wanted something better, so... I went ahead and ordered a DWW-7VGA like a month ago. From what I understand, going from RCA to VGA, in addition to the higher res (800x480!), it should be much nicer....

But I dunno yet, It prolly wont come for a few more years :-(

I'm running Media Engine on a 5.6" and it's perfect for me. You will have issues with GPS though, you will want a VGA screen for that and the smallest is 7".

I have a 5" LCD, works fine for the front end im building but text is kind hard to read unless you make it larger. Movies look good on it tho.
