Sounds like the backlight is on, but the FPC is not delivering a proper signal to the display. Try wiggling the FPC, make sure it is seated properly. Try pressing down so the FPC make better contact.

After many days and nights of !@#$%^ with this screen I have come to the conclusion that it is broken. I tried replacing FPC cables and positioning them all a certain way. It just doesn't want to work for me. The new problems are that when I get the computer to display on the screen the backlight isn't on so it is difficlut to see let alone use. While I have it working with no backlight if I hit ANY button on the screen the display goes black. Does Armen repair these or am I going to have to buy a new unit.

After almost purchasing a new one I managed to find the problem! I did in fact need the FPC cable I purchased from Armen but I also was tapping into a not so good power source from my car. It is the same source that I used for my 5" lcd but Lilliput doesn't like it. I figured this out because I am moving and finally found the adapter for in-house use and my screen worked! Just wanted to share solution cause someone else will eventually have this probelm. Thanks to all who helped me out
