Well for my Lilliput, I didn't have the same ground as the picture.
But the mod works great. Now I don't have to lean forwards and push a button! ha ha. Love being lazy

Ok I went to an electronics parts store to get the capacitor and resistor. The guy ask what volt capacitor. I told him what it was for and he gave me a 10uf 63v is that gonna get the job done? what volt is the one in the pic?

as long as the voltage is above what you are using it for, then it's OK
Just make sure the μf value is correct.

Will the auto-power up work if you have the screen powered thru the cig lighter?

The screen will power up whenever it receives power with this mod.

So if your cigarette lighter is only powered when the car is on, then the screen will turn on when the car turns on. If it is always powered, then the screen will always be powered.

is there any concern of the screen becoming too hot and being damaged if it is closed in the in-dash housing? Since it will be ON all of the time the car is on...
