But if it work for you guys reliably then dont fix it
It work very fine for everybody with this resistor value, the possible noise on this µC input is very low because there is not long wire on it or other "noise receptor", then pull up with 150K is really not a problem for this application.

Little more help with this mod...

I have a Lilliput 619GL-70NP and I need a little help. When Coyote says to remove the resistor, is the resistor that the little metal piece with 103 engraved on it? (I guess I was looking for something else). Also, was the consensus that a 100K resistor would also work for this mod? Thanks..

i just shorted out the power button but this is a much better solution
Wait, so can we just short out the power button and get the exact same effect as coyotes soldering solution?

If so how do you actually short out the power button...? (in noob terms)

    like this:

coyote's solution is better tho ... as the way i did it is the same as if you held down the power button all the time. the other buttons don't work anymore, but you can still use the remote.

coyote's solution actually is a lot better as it simulates pressing and then releasing the power button.

on capacitors, the voltage is just the MAX voltage you can charge it to. so as long as it is > 5, you should be fine.

I do not know **** about electronics, and the guy where I just bought the materials for this mod knows even less than I do , and it asked the voltage the 150K should be.
I bought a ¼ v 150K is this ok? Also, how can I identify and be sure I was given the correct resistor?

I just reread the whole thread and I couldn’t find any reference to this.

    Thanks

The resistor should be coloured brown, green, yellow, gold.

1/4watts are standards if you wish you can use 1/8watts, they are much smaller.

The capacitor is also fine, get a 16V one if you wish...again they should be smaller in size.

I did my mod with the 10uF cap and a 1/2 watt 100k ohm resistor. I'll let you know if it hurts it in time.
