Thread: got a problem, my screen wont show anything after the windows icon, any help?

I don't know what screen you have, but try this -> Shut everything off, including the monitor. Boot the computer with the monitor OFF. Wait till you hear the windows sound telling you that you are all booted up. Wait a few seconds and turn the monitor on. See if that works.

Mine did that...(when it worked) it would shut off after boot and I would have to power it off and back on, and it was then fine.

My Lilliput does the same thing also - something about switching display modes/frequencies seems to trigger this. This display is still on, but only the top 1 or 2 lines are visible. I have to switch it off and on to get this display back - a minor irritation.

I had the same issue with my Lilliput monitor and Via Epia M-1000. I had to turn it off after the bios boot screen before it would show Windows XP.

The way you fix it is to go into the bios and set the screen size to 800x600 (which is what I run at in XP), and the issue goes away.
