try 800x 480 might need to use " power strip" to get that rez
Hey,
I just got my lilliput w/m10000 motherboard, and I'm having trouble with the monitor. Basically it doesn't support anything higher than 640x480 8 bit, without going into "out of range" mode. Any ideas? Don;t kill me for asking dumb questions, I've tried everything from reinstalling MB drivers to video drivers, but nothing seems to work. Hopefully I am jsut overlooking some simple thing to make this work. Thanks!
Chris
ps... I'm writing this from my CarPC :-)

You can't recieve that resolution with the onboard video even with powerstrip... I tried that. Anyhow Mine works fine. I can bump it up to 800 x 600 no problem. I found that those monitors are very tweaky for instance sometimes when i exit out of a visualization within mediacar, i get that out of range message. If i turn it off then turn it back on the screen comes back. Try that.
It may time to ask for a refund. If you have recently bought it return it. There is a better cheaper screen that i have seen on this board that people from this forum are organizing a in person viewing. It is suposed to handle 1024x768 with 400nits brightness VGA 2 rca's and a USB touchscreen.
it may be best to send that unit back and wait until these screens are verified.

That sounds eactly like the specs on the lilliput to me.. I'm jsut wondering if these video modes aren't supported explicitly by XP? Is it real sensitive to refresh rates etc? Are there parameters that are known to work that can be put into powerstrip?Originally Posted by antimatter

Yea but the problem with the lilliput is that it is made from remanufactured parts and has twaeky bugs. The specs are for a screen that is bran new. It supposedly has more stable USB touchscreen drivers. I havn't seen the screen myself or talked to anyone who has it. THis is something relativly new.
