That screen has been posted a few times. I even looked into it. Generally speaking, you get what you pay for when it comes to screens. I think that's an STN screen too. If you want more info on the screen, do a search on google for this model #MV7SC. I've yet to find where it says it's a TFT screen so that's what leads me to believe it's an STN screen.

If you're looking to watch movies, that might work. But for a computer and gps...it won't. Take a look at the LCD section and some past posts.

TFT and VGA aren't comparable. TFT refers to the type of LCD that the display uses. The VGA refers to the type of output that the display uses,
IE: VGA, Composite, S-video or RCA.

TFT is really the only type of display that you want. It is better than the slow scan and offers better resolution so your picture that it gives you will be better.

But if you are thinking about installing a computer in the future then you will want a VGA screen. From what I have heard the other types won't give a clear enough resolution and it will be difficult to read the output from the computer but DVDs and MPGs will probably play just fine.

So in other words you probably want a TFT VGA LCD screen. Though any VGA LCD that I have seen is also a TFT screen. But there may be some out there that aren't.

Course you could always buy a PSOne LCD Screen that is made by Sony and with a little bit of modification you can make it into a VGA screen as well.

This will not be a true VGA screen.

Peter, it depends on the screen. there are some that will work with both, but VGA does not imply composite support, and most VGA monitors will not, without more hardware, support input from RCA.

if by this one you mean the one you posted, it is composite only.

if you're planning on a car computer, than you want TFT VGA. You always want TFT.
