    LCD from mobile phone?

    hi
I have an old Nokia 3310 cell phone. Can i use the LCD on it for my Car PC. How? Can i use LCD from any other electrical appliance such as my walkman, or an old cd-player? Can i use the keypad of my nokia 3310 in any way for input for my Car PC.

dude...why do you want to do something like that. But in all fairness to answer your question I think it would be too hard to get that to work...at least for me anyways.

Yes. Look here for info on driving Nokia LCDs : http://sandiding.tripod.com/Bertys.html Took me about 30 seconds to find with altavista (hint hint).

Yes, if you can figure out the pinout and protocol and build driver circuitry.

Yes, they are just switches like any other.

Hmmm.... good links! Never would have thought that was possible. But in all reality, wouldn't that be a little hard to use in a car, being so small? Definately would make a cool casemod, but i'd think about something a bit bigger to use for a carpc.
