    Lilliput works perfectly

My Lilliput works perfectly. I've had it apart multiple times, screwed up a ribbon cable and fixed that, hacked out the IR receiver, had it in and out of the dash countless times, kicked it around the garage floor, etc. etc. and it continues to work perfectly. Next I need that Coyote auto-on mod.

Anybody else having zero problems?? If I was a newbie looking for a screen I certainly wouldn't consider a Lilliput after glancing at this forum. I'm curious now if I'm just lucky, or if the screen just isn't really that bad.

The only problem I have ever had is when I didnt hook up that ribbon cable correctly.

I'd buy one again, and I recommend them to my freinds and people on other boards.

I think the people with problems are a very vocal minority. When you get something that works, you tend not to care that it works. When it doesnt work, thats when we hear things.

Has there been any trend to where people buy them.

I have a Xenarc in my Vette, but would like to add a system to my daily driver.

I have considered the Lilliput, but as was stated above posts on this forum have cause me to re-consider.

Is there a better source than another to buy from. Who has the best delivery and customer support?

I was very happy with my Lilliput. I purchased it from electroniccar on eBay and it arrived on time. The screen is bright and clear. It was picky about the resolution/refresh rate it was run at and I did see the Jurrassic Park logo once. However, once I found the right resolution and stuck with it, I didn't have anymore problems.

Until...I took it apart to mount it in the car. Now text appears to wiggle. I've posted a seperate thread on this "Lilliput Wavy/Flickering".

At this point I cannot blame electronicar or Lilliput. I took the case apart and could have damaged something myself. So I would still recommend the Lilliput.

MY screen is unbelievably perfect. I can sit in the car and just stare at it for extended periods of time. The wavy flickering screen appeared once for me when that small DIN connector was not fully plugged in. I just saw a similar screen when I powered up from an inverter. Check the connector, or try a clean DC power source?

Also you can go into the monitor settings and change the phase. Not the settings in windows but on the monitor itself. I have noticed that this reduces/eliminates the squiggles.

I have had mine mounted in the car for a while now, and it works perfectly. It gets a lot of abuse from the kids, as it is in the family car.
