what type of input does the LCD/TFT screen need to have to run from the PC?

    pal/av/etc?

found a small screen (only 4") for just over 100quid that's meant for cctv.....just wonder if it's suitable???????

Your inputs have to match the outputs. I would assume that the 4" screen has PAL inputs (since you're across the pond), so you would need a video card that has PAL-out.

4" is probably going to be too small to do anything useful with. There is zero possibility of reading text.

and, I have no idea what a quid is, so I can't tell you if thats a good deal or not

4" is definately too small...you also want one with vga input (15 pin) not just an RCA plug (regular video in) that means the difference between an analog and digital monitor. Same difference as a regular TV and a computer monitor. You will be able to see graphics but not read detailed stuff like text. It will show dvds fine, unless you want the subtitles.

BTW I think a quid is like a buck or dough

dave mate, that 100 quid one is going to be AV input only, this really wont be good quality and youll struggle to read text on it etc... if i was you id save up and grab a VGA lcd, check www.digitalww.com for more info on such screens.

    Cheers mate,

    Matt.
